3 extra kids

Today is Corby's brothers birthday. So we kept their kids overnight so they could go away and play. Damon asked everyday for a week "when Graicee and Gentree going to be here?" He couldn't wait. They got here around noon on Sat. until Sun. afternoon. I had plans with my girlfriends so Corby being the nice man he is, watched all 6 kids so I could go. When I got back, Damon and the 2 girls had gotten themselves into a bit of mischief. Permanent marker all over the faces and later I even found it it their hair. (I hope their parents aren't mad) A day later and I still can't get it all off. Oh well. We had Shawn, Jodi and their kids over for pizza so we could all hang out. The kids had an absolute ball!! I think we did ok with 3 extra. I even asked Corb, "could you imagine if we had 6 kids?" His response SCARED me!! He said he would love to have 6 kids. Gauge had the most fun playing with the kids. He didn't want much to do with me or Corb. All in all we had a pretty fun weekend! Happy Birthday Jessey!

AREN'T THEY ADORABLE??

I just love it when all 3 kids end up in my bed. They look so sweet and innocent while they're sleeping. They love to snuggle with whoever they are next to.

Colbi's Invention!

The 3rd grade inventions fair. Colbi thought long and hard about what she wanted her invention to be. And FINALLY, she came up with this all on her on. The Auto Sweeper. A remote control car with a broom on the back. Many people told her they would love to have one!! She was very proud of herself!

A visit from Uncle Jeff and Aunt Syd

Jeff and Syd came for a visit. The kids are always so excited to see them. They put on their crazy faces and put on a show!

Jaxon playing Basketball!

I tried to post some pictures of Jaxon playing basketball, but they are very dark. He has been playing now for 3 weeks and is loving every minute of it!

Damon and his balloon

Every time Damon gets a balloon his thrilled beyond description. However, I find it so funny that is lasts about an hour and then he comes to me and says, "mommy I want to send my balloon up to Papa Aiken." I love it!! Last Saturday the Purple Turtle was celebrating 42 years in business. My dad started taking me to the Purple Turtle probably at least 30 years ago. It is still just as good and I am glad to pass along the tradition. My dads bday was yesterday. He would have been 62. So it is only fitting that last week Damon sent him a balloon. I love my dad so very much and miss him terribly! Happy Birthday Dad!!

Jaxon's 1st Duck!!

Does he look happy or what?? Big Mike called and asked if Corb and Jax wanted to go shoot ducks. Jaxon couldn't get there fast enough! He is the happiest when he has a gun in his hand. This isn't only his first duck, but the first thing he has shot since getting his hunting license. WAY TO GO JAX!

Haircuts!!

Colbi decided she wanted to cut her hair, again. So she convinced Aunt Tar to do the honors. She had to call me and make sure it was OK. I told her she still had to be able to put it in a ponytail, she said "Oh come on Mom!" Needless to say, I won that argument. She looks so cute! So I decided the shag on the boys heads HAD to go!! Don't they look handsome??

My favorite pics from New Year's

There are way too many pictures to pick from, but these are some of my favorites! They perfectly show what a great time we had over New Year's. The track we made with the ranger around Missy's house was CRAZY!! We each took out turn being pulled behind the ranger on the sled. Missy was driving with at least 6 or more kids in the back. She told me I was a crazy driver, umm Miss, you are too my dear! When it wasn't my turn I was standing on the seat facing backwards video taping and taking pictures. My stomach hurt from laughing so hard! Oh I want to come back and do it again!

More New Year's

Only in Preston can the whole family go out on the driveway at midnight on New Year's Eve and shoot 5 shotguns, fireworks, what a riot! We know how to ring in the New Year. It started snowing that night and didn't stop for almost 2 days! Just what we wanted! Not good for Jodi who ended up in the ditch. Sorry Jod, I couldn't stop laughing! It made for a great time!

New Year's in Idaho!!

Two houses, 10 acres, and 32 people!! WHAT FUN WE HAD!! Because we couldn't spend Christmas with all the Draney's, we decided all of us would head to Idaho for the New Year's weekend. Most of us arrived on Thurs. New Year's Eve and others arrived on New Year's Day. We had food, lots of food. Wii tournaments. Sledding until 2am. Shotguns, fireworks, pots and pans. Snowman building contests. More food. Great conversation. Poker until 2am. And not a lot of sleep. This year was the first, but it certainly won't be the last! There are a lot of pictures, too many to post. Check out my facebook to see them all.

Wii!!

For many years now, the day after Christmas we go to the Aiken family Christmas party. It was a lot of fun. They decided to forgo the traditional ham and funeral potatoes and replace it with Cafe Rio pork salads and other yummy food. It was delicious. I especially thought so because I HATE ham! We had a wonderful time with my dad's family and then game back to Taryn's to have a try at their new Wii. We bowled, flew airplanes, wake boarded and sword fighting. All I have to say, is I want one! I love Christmas!!

Sledding

The day after Christmas we went sledding up above Aspen Grove with Corb's friends the Madison's. It was all in the shade and only about 15 degrees. BUURRRRR! We had such a good time. Complete with hot cocoa and marshmallows!

Draney Christmas

For years and years we always got together at Corb's parents house Christmas Day so we could see all the Draney's. But two years ago, Missy, Clint and their family and Casey, Cheryl and the boys moved to Preston Idaho. So we don't get together anymore. Corby guilted Shawn into coming over and bringing the kids so they could show off their loot. Later that night after our traditional dinner with my family, we went over to Shawn's so we could see what they got. We had a great time, as you can see!
