24th of July in Preston Idaho!!

We decided to head to Preston for the weekend of the 24th. We got there late on Thursday night. Of course. So we slept in and decided to head to the north shore of Bear Lake for the day on Friday. We had a great time. It was packed!! Cars as far as you could see! We finally found a spot and set up for the day! The kids played and swam and I of course laid out. It was perfect!! Corby sat in the same spot for most of the afternoon and got FRIED!! I don't know what degree he burnt himself, but it was awful. We headed back to Preston for small town festivities!! We swam in the lake, went on an adult 4 wheeler ride, (that was forever, but fun) had a dutch oven dinner at the church, fireworks and of course I can't forget the GINORMOUS slip n slide at their church. We had a wonderful weekend away with Corby's family.

This is what happens it a small town. Homemade slip n slide. Big style!! Can you believe this?? Irrigation water and a HUGE piece a black plastic. Fun for hours!!

We had such a wonderful day at Bear Lake! This is one of my most favorite places on earth!!

Good morning sunshine! Can you tell he loves it when I take his picture?

Can you tell he works way too hard!! I love to see him and take much needed and deserved time off!

Yuba 2010

Quite a few years ago I started a Draney family Yuba trip with Corby's cousin Corey. It started as a way to get all the Draney's together. It has now turned in to an all out free for all! If you are related to a Draney, know a Draney or are friends with a Draney, you are invited!! We have such a great time!! Fishing, sun bathing, boating, campfires, birthdays, pot luck dinners, Grandma Angie's cookies, sunburns, severe ones, friends and family!! This is something we all look forward to every summer! The best part is we can pull our trailers right up on the beach so we are just feet away from the water! We have survived flash floods, hurricane force winds and day after day of brutal sun!! But, we do it every year and enjoy every minute of it!! I can't wait to see what next year brings!!
This is always the first thing they do as soon as they get out of the truck. Fishing!!
Here is the birthday girl!! Happy Birthday Kes!! We love you!!

Isn't she beautiful?? I think so!! Kaylie your Aunt Mandy loves you!

Look how much fun they are having! Even though there boat is going flat!
Are they two good looking guys?? I am a very lucky girl!!
And... More fishing!! Jaxon gets up before anyone else and is out on the banks fishing and he is the last one on the shore, in the dark, still fishing!

We usually have a birthday or two to celebrate. This year Keslie turned 3! And you can see we had a shindig!!! These cousins have so much fun together!!!

Does this not look like fun or what??
You know it's a good time when this is what you see!

Lots and lots of sunbathing!! At least the ladies!!

Every year one of the kids gets the idea to dig the BIG hole! Fill it full of water and it becomes the hot tub. EEWWW Gross!!

Always some of the most gorgeous sunsets!!

Fishing, lots and lots of fishing!!! And then more fishing!!

And there is always boating!

Dump trucks and sand toys are a must!!

Mud fights!! They happen every year! At least a few times!! And so far no one has ended up crying. Just lots of laughter!!

I was taught at a very young age, if you need a bath, you take it in the lake!! I love it! Damon, not so much!

All CLEAN!!
